Our Last Hope
Our trial begins in the morning. For the past two months we had been given a last chance to reform ourselves. Now, our judgment has come. That it is coming eleven months early does not bode well. At least the Council has relented and allowed us a representative to plead our case.
In the meantime, I am spending what may be our last days finishing my journal-to-date and transferring it into the Universal Archive. I will upload the trial details when we return. This way, if the judgment goes against us, at least a permanent record of our existence and our struggle to survive will remain.
I am Patricia Barstow and this is my story.
